I had re-read Saving Santa then read Kissing Kendra. I loved them both. I love Donna McDonald's writing style ) Thank you for another great book with wonderful characters! Your books pull me in hook, line, and sinker until I finish them. ) Juli

Terrific! This book is sweet, sexy, funny, and well written. Typical fare from this author. The writing is fantastic as the reader is taken from one situation to another. Wonderful characters are a major part of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book. It was good but not that great. I have read some along the same lines and this one rally didn't stand out among the group, found myself skipping parts of the book. I thought it got a little bit boring in some parts, didn't hold my attention very well and didn't read the first one in this series so that probably made a big difference too.
By any means necessary said the bride. Yep it was her day and she wanted everything her way. Her happiness was meant to be spread unto the two people she loved besides her future husband.
Kendra and David story of second chance love was full of laughs and meddling BFF's. I don't think it could have come togther any better than it did. Oh and don't forget "mercy" and bathroom breaks. Yep, I truly enjoyed the innuendos that made this a sly rom/com.
It's not often that I give a novella 5 STARS, but this gem of a story deserves it. I dare say that it's my favorite Donna McDonald story to date. I didn't read the novella Saving Santa which features two of the secondary characters in this story, yet Kissing Kendra reads great as a standalone. I was pulled into this story from the beginning and finished it with a goofy smile on my face. The romances between both the primary and secondary couples were sweet and endearing, but the humor and amazingly witty banter are what put this book over the top. I love these characters and want to be part of their lives and circle of friends. That's truly the highest compliment I can ever give a book.

Kissing Kendra by Donna McDonald is a delightful funny romance. This is Ms. McDonald showing her comical side in writing. While I had no problem taking Kendra’s side from the start, I honestly felt a little sorry for David too. Seeing how David with the help, think meddling of friends, goes about winning Kendra is at times sidesplitting funny. I couldn’t stop myself for rooting for him to get another chance. What a reminder that the serious business of love can be downright fun. If a pick-me-up is needed after a rough day, Kissing Kendra will deliver it.
I have not had the pleasure of reading the first yet but still enjoyed Kissing Kendra. Since Megan and Nicholas’s wedding playing plays a major role in this second chance romance of Kendra and David I wish I had. I do not think it is necessary, just I would like to see how it all came together for Megan and Nicholas too. It is on my TBR list.

Donna McDonald is one of my "must buy" authors. I adore her work. When I was offered the ARC on this book, I couldn't resist. Kissing Kendra is all I expect of a Donna McDonald book--love, humor, shenanigans and an HEA. However, as much as it is okay as a stand alone, it is so much better if you read Saving Santa first, but be careful! Be sure you have Donna's Saving Santa. I have two other books titled Saving Santa and was shocked when neither was by Donna McDonald. Anyway, once you read the correct Saving Santa which is Nicholas and Megan's story, it slides right into Kissing Kendra. David and Kendra are a couple in love, deeply in love, but their life plans are on divergent courses when the novel opens. Each freely acknowledges they love each other but what Kendra wants now, David doesn't see happening until sometime later--like 5-10 years later and they have already been together for 8 years. Kendra feels she has to move on. David can't understand why. She knows he loves her and is committed to only her, doesn't she? Megan and Nicholas's wedding sets the backdrop for this book and frankly, without them this book would not be as wonderful as it is. You'll laugh, you'll sniffle, you'll applaud and you'll even gasp and say "Now really? At their age?" but it all works and makes a delicious romantic story for all.
Oh, just in case I wasn't clear enough at the onset, I did receive an ARC of this book and I did offer to post an honest review of the book. I was not paid to do so nor would I ever accept money to do a review. Thank you. Now, go purchase Kissing Kendra and Saving Santa, too, for that matter. You won't regret it.
